 What are the steps in editing a rough cut?  Why is a rough cut so important?

    Cut all your cuts longer in a rough cut so that its easier to make more refined cuts in the final cut process. In a rough cut you just sort of put everything in place so you know where everything goes but in the final cut you do more fine tuning. Rough cuts are important because it makes the final cut process way easier as well as leaving more room to change things if you sort of already have your general idea of the project.
