Shots VS Setups

What is the main difference between a shot vs. a setup?   What is the most important thing to keep in mind when you're going to shoot a scene?

A shot is what you are trying to shoot in order of the scene, a set up would be you shooting everything in line with your lighting and everything else in the scene. When you are going to shoot a scene you should take into account how the current shot you are shooting is set up and then you should look through and see if other shots have the same set up so you can film all those together.
