How do you think the history of cinema has influenced the way we tell stories today? Are there any examples of films or techniques that might have been inspired by the past? What are three things you'd like to learn during this unit?
The history of cinema has influenced the way we tell stories today because of the types of storytelling cinema had shown us. One of those things would be non-linear storytelling, cinema was able to portray non-linear storytelling clearly and that aided the viewer which had essentially influenced the use of non-linear storytelling today. Three things I would like to learn during this unit would be how influential the trailblazers of the time were to cinema, the transition from silent films into talkies, and why the very first pieces of cinema still hold up today.
