Why do you think we wouldn't have filmmaking without the invention of photography? Pick three of these innovations on this list and explain their historical importance and why you think it led to the invention of motion pictures.
We wouldn't have filmmaking if it weren't for the invention of photography because without the knowledge of how to capture a still image there is no way we would be able to capture motion pictures. Photochemistry was a way for us to permanently preserve the images we captured, the historical significance of this was the way that now we have physical images of proof of our history throughout the years due to this innovation. I think this led to motion picture capturing because without this ability we wouldn't have a way to preserve the film you had made. Dry plates were a consumer friendly way to capture images, this historical significance was that now capturing images was easier for the average person so we essentially received more and more proof of history. Flexible roll film was film produced on rolls which made it even more accessible to people to be able to photograph. This was I would say the biggest contributer to motion picture capturing out of these innovations because of the film industries use of FILM to be able to capture motion through all the frames of film rolls.
