The Importance of Transitions

 What are three key new things about transitions that you learned from this video?  Why did you find each of these interesting?

You must be intentional when doing a transition, even a hard cut transition could deliver a feeling you want, there's different methods of using a transition. You must be intentional when doing  transition because if you are just throwing in random transitions with no meaning behind it, it can be very disorienting to the viewer. Hard cut transitions could also be good when editing because it can give you a dry eerie feeling of jumping from one scene to another with the abruptness of the cut. There's different methods you can use when doing a transition, there more technical ones like using a moving object in frame, a wipe, or even a cross dissolve, but there is also ways you can do it on set like a whip pan when you move the camera fast and carry that motion over to the next scene.
